Being a doctor or any part of the medical team is not an easy job. Most doctors are on call 24/7, and the lives of their patients greatly depend on their skills and knowledge. But of course, the rest of the team plays a vital role as well and if one member is lacking, the group may not be as effective. The pharmacist, as an expert in medicine is very important when the situation calls for the best drug to be administered the patient. The administration of course is done by the nurse. A medical technician may not always be a part of emergencies but when tests are needed then they should also be there. Physical and occupational therapists are also necessary once the patient is already at the rehabilitation stage and all the other medical professionals have their special roles as well. We may not always notice it, but every one working in the hospital or the clinics have a huge function in all of our lives. Though the ones we usually notice are those in white, long-sleeved lab coats. The moment we set our eye on a person wearing a lab coat, we automatically assume he is a medical doctor and for most of us, we end up feeling intimidated. This is not true to all however and not everyone in a lab coat is a doctor. Some pharmacists also wear this but for nurses, of course scrubs uniforms are more common. But may it be someone in a scrub suit or a lab coat, all the medical staff should be equally respected.
